HELLER supports research programme of CEDR

The aim of this programme is to undertake research on integrating climate change into decision-making processes and implementing existing research into practice. It is based on the results of the Calls in 2008, 2011 and 2012, which all have dealt with the key issue „climate change“ in relation to road management and sustainability. The implementation of tools and results is the focus for the current Call 2015. Project DeTECToR (Decision support Tools for Embedding Climate change Thinking on Roads) aims to create decision-support tools for embedding climate change thinking on roads in a period of 24 months.
The project is carried out by consortium led by Transport Research Laboratory (TRL, UK). HELLER is the project partner responsible for the development of decision-support tools. The company also actively supports the cost-benefit analysis, economical appraisal and the whole procurement process. Further to this HELLER participates in the developments of guidance for the National Road Authorities (NRAs). The other consortium partners are Alfen Consult GmbH (Germany), Climate and Environment Consulting Potsdam GmbH (Germany), Road and Bridge Research Institute (IBDiM, Poland) and AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH (Austria).
HELLER is looking forward to an interesting and environmentally sustainable venture in fruitful cooperation with CEDR and all partners of the DeTECToR project. National Road Authorities are kindly welcome to share their knowledge and expectations concerning the project goals.
