Minister of Transport Hermann presented the planned maintenance planning

On 12 April 2017, Transport Minister Winfried Hermann presented the maintenance planning planned for the years 2017 to 2020 on the federal and rural roads in Baden-Württemberg at a press conference in Stuttgart. The maintenance areas were determined by HELLER Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. The basis was the data from the Road Monitoring and Assessment from the year 2016.

Winfried Hermann, Minister of transport in Baden-Wurttemberg, presents the maintenance program for the federal state with a map, created by HELLER Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH.

At the press conference, Hermann summarizes that the condition of the roads has already improved significantly. A trend that the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport will continue to pursue. The responsible persons have recognized that rehabilitation and maintenance are more important than the reconstruction and the budget is planned accordingly. HELLER provides the basis for efficient maintenance management: thanks to the visualization of the necessary maintenance sections on maps and route bands, Baden-Württemberg has a comprehensive overview of the general road condition and can make meaningful investment measures.

HELLER had already recorded the pavement condition in Baden-Württemberg during the past period and planned the maintenance measures together with the federal state for the period from 2012 to 2016. The Ministry of Transport has also decided to make the results of the conservation planning accessible to the public on their webpage.
